In an apartment block in Codlea, no one lives the same life, even if from the outside everything appears uniform, stable, almost inert. Behind slightly open windows are people holding their lives together through small gestures: someone leaves a window ajar not for air, but because the silence inside has become too heavy; someone else hangs laundry every day on a metal balcony—not out of discipline, but because the repetition of a simple act gives shape to the day.

A cat sits motionless by the window, as if it knows who leaves and who stays, while potted plants grow from a reflex of care—a quiet promise that things can go on.

In the evening, the sky gathers in the windows, and from a distance everything seems solid and settled. But up close, these lives resemble the edges of concrete: imperfect, interrupted, and real.
