Here is my youngest daughter, standing in Blaj, Romania, looking up at the top floor of the block where I spent 7 years of my childhood. For me, that building holds memories of growing up, of daily life shaped within gray walls, of small details that became part of who I am. Through her eyes, she gazes into my past — unknowingly revisiting moments I once lived behind those windows. At the same time, we look at her and see the beginnings of her own story, a new cycle of life and memory unfolding. This painting bridges generations, turning a simple block of concrete into a dialogue between past and future.
